Click here to watch the "Finding Full Text Articles" tutorial.

When searching databases through the library website you should look for the Article linker button on the article page. By clicking on the Article Linker button (shown below), you will be taken to the library record for that material.

  1. Clicking on this button will result in either:
    1. You will see a box that lists where the full-text is available from (example shown below). Then you will click on one of the locations listed, such as Journals@Ovid. This should take you to a record page that has the abstract and a button to access the PDF full text.

how to find full text

2. OR you’ll see this box

If you see this box, you can either:

Request the article through ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan) and we will try to retrieve the article for you from another library. This is free for most primary patrons of the library.

OR

Use the "Google Scholar by Title" option. This will see if there is a free version of hte article you are interested in available on the web. Look for a link on the right hand side of the page that says [HTML] or [PDF] followed by a url.

If you cannot find the full text of an article online you can always request it through Interlibrary Loan. If you haven't heard about Interlibrary Loan, you can learn more about it here: https://library.cuanschutz.edu/interlibrary/

If you encounter any issues or need help, AskUs using the orange button on the right side of this page or this link: https://https://library.cuanschutz.edu/contact-the-library/askus
