Microsoft Office software is available to faculty, staff, and students by logging into Office 365 at https://www.office.com.  

Using the Install Office button in the top right, you can choose to install the Office 365 apps or select "Other Install Options" to access the desktop version of the software.

The installation includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
