To download citations from the new PubMed interface for EndNote, follow these steps:

1. Select the citations you would like to download by either using the checkbox beside the article title OR checking no boxes and saving either the results on the current page or the first 10,000 results.

2. Once you've decided how you want to select your results, click the Save button at the top of the page.

3. Selection will allow you to choose which subgroup of results are downloaded:

  • "All results on this page"  will be the results showing when you scroll, which will be 10 unless you've clicked "Show More"
  • "All Results" will be the first 10,000 results.
  • "Selection" will be the results that you checked the boxes for.

4. Choose the "RIS" format from the Format dropdown box.

5. Click "Create File"

6. Locate your downloads folder or tool in the browser you are using and double click the file that was just created. The file name will following this convention: ris- ########.ris. The file should automatically open in EndNote and import the citations.
