Keeping the Study Zone Clean Details:

Hello! I know with it being finals season, many more students are spending most of their time at the library; which means many of their meals/snacking take place here as well! Unfortunately, this has left some of the areas/flooring in the Study Zone not as clean as it could be. I've noticed crumbs/food debris particularly in the small and large group study rooms. Do these floors get vacuumed by the cleaning staff? I know that this staff works very hard to keep this building in good repair and that vacuuming may be too much of an additional task, so would it be possible to store a lightweight vacuum and/or broom/dust pan in the Study Zone so that students can clean up after themselves? I'm currently studying with a collection of food crumbs under my table, and I think my studying experience would be more positive, if we could tidy this up! I definitely wouldn't mind cleaning up the Study Zone myself, and hope other students would be encouraged to do their part in making sure this awesome study area remains in good order! Thank you for considering!

Answer:

The library will provide and put a lightweight manual vacuum in the study zone and store a little broom with dust pan in the study zone's kitchen. No problem. Easy to try out. Thank you.
