Is it possible to make the study rooms less cold?
I agree with the previous posts over the summer that the study rooms were too warm. Now with winter coming, I have found the study rooms are colder than the common space areas

Thank you for the comment. I do not have a good answer to your question. Campus Facilities controls and decides on the settings for heating and cooling in the building. I will pass along and forward your comment to them. Their email contact is dispatch@cuanschutz.edu if you would like to submit future concerns directly. I would suggest that it is more helpful when these sorts of comments include a room number. Facilities staff are likely to ask the same and want specific locations.
My sense is that there are factors around utility bills and cost savings that the University is trying to achieve. Also, over the years I have learned that the type of HVAC system serving the library tends to react slower to sharp increases/decreases in temperature. We always recommend users wear layers during the winter to adjust their own comfort as it can be complicated to accommodate all in regard to the climate in the building. One person's "just right" is another person's "too hot" and another's "too cold" sometimes when it comes to the temperature in any environment.
Thank you.
